Shahrukh Khan's Om Shanti Om

After the smash hit Chak De India and now the Badshah of Bollywood will be returning in a couple of weeks time and this time with a home production. NDTV has an exclusive look at Farah and Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om. Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan’s second film as director after the superhit Main Hoon Na is a tribute to Farah’s favourite decade, The 70’s.
It’s a love story between Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a struggling actor and a former model Deepika Padukone. But it’s not a run of the mill story “It’s a strange love story in the sense that it’s not a conventional love story not boy meets girl and the girl loves the boy without giving away too much. It’s very unusual I would say it’s half a love story and then it goes to another space,” said Farah Khan, Director.

The story centers on an artist, Om (Shahrukh khan), who grows up in the seventies, meets the love of his life (Deepika padukone) and shortly thereafter suffers an untimely demise. He is immediately reincarnated and the story flash-forwards to the present day. Haunted by the memories of his past life and love, he attempts to not only solve the mystery of his death, but also reunite with the love of his past life. The problem is that she is now much older than him and does not believe that he is the reincarnation of the man she once loved and for about 30 stars are doing guest appearences in this film and let us hope the film will be good.

I failed: Ramgopal Varma

Now days, everyone is discussing about Ramgopal Varma’s AAG in the entire Bollywood. Not only discussing about its good and bad, but they are discussing about why he made so worst film. This is the today’s talk in Hindi belt. Further, the people are saying that Ramgopal Varma has to know how to make movies. However, Varma is saying it is a remake of SHOLAY and from the beginning I made this film AAG with a special interest. Further, Big B Amitabh Bachhan also had given a statement that Varma has given a new identity for Sholay and remade the film on the title of AAG.

But after releasing the said film the same Amitabh said there is no fire in AAG, except ash. For this dreadful failure I am only responsible says Ramgopal Varma now. I did not even think this film becomes run-of-the-mill. Recently once again I watched the film Sholay, every scene and sequence is tremendous and thrilling. Most of my well wishers said to me not to try to remake the sholay. But I never heard their words, one sidedly I proceeded. I am only entire responsibility for this failure. Some people are saying that I should learn how to make films. However, such comments are coming from cine critiques which are their personal opinions I feel. But one thing is absolutely true that I could not estimate the people’s views said by Varma.

Revealing his plans the never-say-die director explains, "The film has a tongue twisting title, Dheyaya. It's a Sanskrit word for mission. I wanted an unused word to express what the film sets out to achieve. It'll be a realistic gritty dark film about the link between the underworld and various legitimate and illegitimate terrorist organizations.

Bhumika as Journalist

Bubbly damsel Bhumika is playing the lead role as journalist. Her name in the film is Anasuya. Nikitha and Abbas are playing as main lead pair. In this connection, director cum producer Ravi Babu said within one more week the shooting will be completed. Until now Bhumika appeared softly and sensitively in other movies. However, in this film how she will be appearing is suspense. There are three songs in this film. Most of the film was picturised in Hyderabad.

She is an honest journalist and dare devil person. Let it be any sort of consequences arise, she face them boldly and try to do justice for the needy. For which if anybody obstructs her she never goes back to say BURRA BADDALAI PODDI said by the director Ravi Babu. Not only he is directing, but also producing the film. Kalidasu is under graphics

Dynamic hero Arjun is playing main lead role in the film KALIDASU. Famous director Bharathi Raja is directing this film. Arjun is playing first time under Bharathi Raja. Hindi actor Nana patekar is playing in a special role. Svelte beauty Kaajal is playing main female lead role opposite Arjun. K Lakshminarayana Reddy is bringing out this film in Telugu version. In this connection, he said the entire story and storyline runs with suspense and actions.

Recently the audio of the film was released and got enormous response from the people. Bharathi Raja prepared the story in his own style with his huge experience and made the film. Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions are going to release at a time. At present its graphic works are going on and we are planning to release within short period. The date will be announced very soon he said. Mani Vannan, Rukhmini, Vivek, Ranjit are performing in main characters.

Sizzling star Simran & her Election Campaign

At present scenario the politicians are depending on Cine Artistes to campaign in elections on behalf of them to attract the people. Up to what extent the voters inspire by their glamour and cast votes for the concerned candidates is not known to anybody. However, there is no doubt that it is established fact that a huge crowd of people comes to see their beauties and hear their speeches. Their glamour is like that. In the film VIJAYADASAMI there are such scenes. Upcoming hero Kalyanram and Vedika are playing as main lead pair in this film. Saikumar is playing as a politician. For election campaign sizzling star Simran is going to come on behalf of him.

In the part of election campaign if the concerned politician arranges gana bajana (songs and dances) with Simran then, hero also joins in playing steps with her, how it will be. The same scenes are picturising in Hyderabad. The song Cine Tara Vachindoyi… Swagatalu Cheppandoyi is under the process of shooting by choreographer Ashok Raj. By this song the shooting of the film will be completed said by the director V Samudra. Further, he said they are planning to release the film Vijayadasami on September 21st. Eedara Ranga Rao is producer of the film.

John Abraham about rumors on him

He is rumoured to have a soured relationship with co-star Arshad Warsi and split from long-time girlfriend Bipasha Basu, but John Abraham is unfazed by the grapevine buzz. The actor, busy shooting abroad and pursuing his international goals, says his inaccessibility to the media fans the rumours. "I'm inaccessible to the media when I'm shooting abroad. Hrithik Roshan's Jodha Akbar in early 2008

Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai’s next release, Jodha Akbar, which was expected to hit theatres on October 12, will now have to wait till early 2008. The film has been postponed to a January release. Gowarikar wanted to release it during the festive period of Id as his film circles around the romance between Moghul prince Akbar (played by Hrithik) and Hindu princess, Jodha (played by Aishwarya).

A source says, “The sizzling on-screen chemistry between Hrithik and Ash in Yash Raj’s Dhoom 2 had generated a huge fan following for the pair, and this has raised a lot of expectations from Jodha Akbar. Gowarikar still has a few important dramatic scenes to be shot.” It is also said that he is unhappy about certain portions that he had shot earlier. He wants them to be re-shot. The back ground score by A.R.Rahman is also taking more time than expected. Ashutosh’s earlier release date was clashing with Yash Raj’s Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiya.

Ringing wedding bells of Rani Mukherji !

Bollywood's heart throab Rani Mukherji is yet to finish her aesthetic life in the coming days. There is a thought in the cinegoers of the Hindi Film Industry that her recent film Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag which is under shooting may be the last film.

Under the direction of Pradeep Sarkar in the said film she is acting as a prostitute. Further, there is a news that in future she is not accepting to act in films. At present she is busy in constructing the house. After then she is going to marry her boy friend Aditya Chopra and settle in life. In this connection, some of the scenes whichever she played as prostitute in the above film are changing and re-picturising. There is a rumor that by the involvement of her boy friend Aditya Chopra these modifications are taken up.

Viyyalavaari Kayyalu audio release

Young hero Uday Kiran and heart throbbing Neha julka are playing as main lead pair in the film Viyyalavaari Kayyalu. Sirisha Sridhar is producing on the banner of Larsco Enterprises under the direction of E Satti Babu. Angry and real star Srihari is playing in a special role. The audio of this film was inaugurated on Thursday in Hyderabad. Audio cassette was released by veteran Actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and handed over to Dr.

In this connection, Director and producer expressed their views and said that, entire family members can sit together and watch the movie without any vulgarity. It is a beautiful love story consisting with comedy and good entertainment. The music prepared by Ramana Gogula will be highlight for this film. We are going to release the film as a gift of Vijayadasami festival to Telugu people.

Krishna as Cow Boy

38 years back, super star Krishna played the role of Cow Boy in the film Mosagaallaku Mosagaallu. The style and costumes were prepared by make up man Mr. Madhava Rao in that film. Once again under the same make up man Krishna is going to appear as Cow Boy in his new flick 100 CRORES. In this connection, Krishna said though I am playing the role of DGP, I am going to appear as Cow Boy after so many years that too in this age, I am feeling new and some sort of thrilling. Baladitya and Sairabanu are playing as main lead pair. Marshal Ramana is directing and Y K Rao, Kasula Sridhar is producing this film.

In the past hero Krishna used to play in many films as a cow boy and in one way we can say he has taken patent in Tollywood for playing such role. NBK with K Raghavendra Rao

It is a known fact that the film Ranga Panduranga is going to be made with Yuvaratna Balakrishna under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao. The original story was written by the famous poet and intellectual Tenali Ramakrishna. This same story was scripted to suit for film and made by the great Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on the title of Panduranga Mahatyam and he proved that artiste can perform in that style. Moreover it was a sensational hit which broke the records and made a history in Tollywood. Each and every scene, music of T V Raju, songs, sequences, theme, storyline, excellent screenplay by NTR, performance of entire artistes, quality of direction, and what not everything was molded perfectly and made the movie with full spirit of enthusiasm and dedication without any compromising by then entire film unit. Even now that movie exhilarates entire audience whenever it releases irrespective of age, gender and favoritism.

Now the same story is being scripted by JK Bharavi and the tunes by Keeravani. No doubt K Raghavendra Rao is one the best directors and has enormous experience in cine field, this film will also come out with same spirit and status quo. However, keeping in view of today’s scenario the technology and photography and other technical aspects may be excellent. But how and up to what extent, the performance of artistes will be to be watched.

Of course Yuvaratna Balakrishna is heir of the great legend NTR; he proved the talent of his style and won the hearts of the Telugu people. Like many other heroes he too got many flops. Particularly since past four to five years there are no successful hits for him. His fans and people are waiting for Okka Magaadu which is yet to release shortly with a great hopes and estimations.

At this juncture Balakrishna is playing the title role of the film Ranga Panduranga, under the direction of Darshakendrudu. The shooting is going to commence in the second week of September. Cine personnel, Tollywood experts, Balakrishna’s fans and entire people are anxiously waiting for this movie with great expectations. Let us wait and see whether Balakrishna will be able to replace the great NTR in the minds of his fans and entire people through his excellent performance as Panduranga in this forth coming flick. With same spirit and dedication like previous one, if this new flick also comes out, then there will not be any confound in becoming one more sensational hit of Tollywood.
